La medaglia fu voluta da Napoleone per celebrare l’annessione dell’Istria, precedentemente appartenente alla Repubblica Veneta, al Regno d’Italia. In asta D’Antan del 21.5.2016 esemplare in conservazione inferiore di g 39,64 (n. 1071) è stato aggiudicato per € 1.711
