FIRENZE Leopoldo II (1824-1859) Soldo 1824 - MIR 462 CU (g 2,01) RRRR Dall’asta Nomisma 38, lotto 665, stimato 2.000 euro, realizzò 3.300 euro, con questa nota: Di questa moneta il CNI menziona soltanto un esemplare nella collezione reale di pessima conservazione (C3) tanto che non fu illustrato nelle tavole finali mentre il Pagani, notoriamente molto parco nell’indicare i gradi di rarità, lo giudica R3 utilizzando come illustrazione il disegno del Galeotti. Secondo quest’ultimo autore la coniazione venne abbandonata per “farsi luogo alla monetazione di rame secondo il nuovo ordinamento”.
